Farming is the heart of life in rural Uganda. But many farmers don’t have the right tools, supplies, or know-how to grow enough food. At Compassion for Community, we believe that by helping farmers, we can fight both hunger and poverty at the same time.
Our program supports farmers by:
- Giving them good seeds, fertilizer, and tools that don’t cost too much.
- Teaching them new, smart farming methods that work even with changing weather.
- Showing them how to store their harvests, keep pests away, and look after their soil.
- Linking them to good markets where they can sell their crops for a fair price.
When farmers can grow more food and sell what they don’t need for a fair price, families have enough to eat and earn more money. Our big goal is to make farming a proud and profitable job that supports families now and for all the years ahead.
